Ivan Feran

Ivan Feran is and experienced Solicitor, FLAC Volunteer, Business Owner, Notary Public, Trustee and Company Director.

Ivan started his legal career working as a legal executive with The Legal Aid Board where he provided support to 5 busy solicitors specialising in the area of Family Law. Ivan trained as a solicitor in a busy medium sized practice where he gained a broad and varied experience. Ivan started in Feran & Co. Solicitors in 2009 and took over this busy practice in 2011 at the age of 29. He now manages an ambitious team that comprises 3 Solicitors, 1 Legal Executive and 3 experienced legal secretaries and support staff.

Ivan has a strong work ethics and commitment to ongoing professional and business development and is keen to ensure that the highest standards are met, and achieved for clients.

Caitríona McMahon

Caitríona joined Feran & Co in November 2016 bringing with her over fourteen years’ extensive experience in both residential conveyancing and commercial conveyancing. She graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Civil Law degree in 1998, and in 2000 she graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a Master in Laws degree. After completing her apprenticeship she was admitted to practice in 2003, and gained valuable experience working in some of the longest established firms in the North East prior to joining Feran & Co.
Caitríona holds a Diploma in Property Tax from the Law Society of Ireland and also completed a Diploma in Environmental and Planning Law with the Law Society in 2011. She specialises in all areas of Residential and Commercial Property Law and Landlord and Tenant Law, and also advises clients on Employment Law matters, and in relation to Will drafting and preparation. She has acted for developers in single and multi-use developments, and for landlords and tenants in both residential and commercial leases, and also has a proven successful track record in representing both landlords and tenants at Residential Tenancies Board Adjudications and Tribunals.
Outside the practice of law, Caitríona is an active volunteer member of the St. Louis Rathkenny Conference of St. Vincent de Paul and is also a member of the Board of Management of Rathkenny National School.

John P. Feran

John qualified as a solicitor over 45 years ago and is the founder of Feran & Co. He is now a consultant, and available for consultations.

During his career he has handled most kinds of general practice work and has listened to the experiences and hopes and plans of clients and helped them to carry those out.

He is the “old-timer” in the Feran & Co family and is very proud of the firm and of its relationship with our clients and all who do business with us.

Edell Lenehan

Edell Lenehan has worked in the legal profession since 1989 beginning her career as a para legal in Manchester initially her duties were legal practice work acting for major development companies in plot sales, experience obtained in housing development conveyancing and also working in litigation department. She graduated from Salford University, Manchester Institute of Legal Executives Part I (Membership) and Part II (Fellowship) Civil Litigation in 1994. Holds Diploma in Employment Law. Has worked for high profile firms in Manchester for a number of years gaining valuable experience in domestic conveyancing and litigation and actively involved in client development. Edell left England in late 1995 to pursue her career in Ireland and has worked for firms in Dublin in the commercial property department acting for major development companies gaining valuable experience before joining Feran & Co in 1999. Edell has a wealth of experience in dealing with domestic conveyancing and is also specialising in the Administration of Estates.

Outside the office, Edell has a keen interest in sport, spends her spare time coaching and is at present Chairperson of Cushinstown Athletic Club and is also actively involved with the GAA with her children.
